Monster Hunter: Rise Review: Maybe Play

  This game has one of the most difficult learning curves I have experienced in gaming yet. I was just starting to get comfortable with the game around 10 hr mark. It is my first Monster Hunter experience maybe I’m crazy but it has a souls gameplay fell to it. Well souls would have used this as inspiration for it because this series is first but either way. I must say it has a great combat system that does require some skill. But at first I thought combat was really bad but as game progresses on it just keeps getting better as you learn what works for you. The monster designs are just wicked awesome I really love all the art in this game. No real story here but I can see why people would continue to play this title over and over it has so many things to do in the world. A game I could see myself picking up ever now and again to just go on a hunt. Music is very good gives good feel to fights. I love the Dango song with the cats may be my favorite thing in the game.
